When we know that there’s going to be some waiting involved at wherever it is that we would be going, we would usually bring along a sketch book and some pens for Josh. This would at least keep him occupied during the wait.
So, on one of the school interviews last week, that was what we did. We were in the lounge waiting with other families. Josh and another boy were running around. I pulled out his sketch book and pens and he settled down to draw this:
